On April 19, 2024, within the framework of the XXX International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Students “TOPICAL ISSUES OF CREATION OF NEW MEDICINAL PRODUCTS”, a meeting of the Student Scientific Society of the Department of Biotechnology was held, students of the study programs “Biotechnology” and “Industrial Biotechnology”, as well as 11th grade students participating in the Small Academy of Sciences under the guidance of teachers of the Department of Biotechnology presented their works. Seven interesting and original scientific reports were presented at the meeting:

• Analysis of technologies for the production of monoclonal antibodies – Oleksandra Khora,
• Research on the development of the composition of chewing pastilles with probiotic properties – Olesia Aleksandrova
• Modern trends in the use of recombinant insulins and analogs: discovery, application, prospects – Michelle Panenko,
• Prospects for the creation of biomaterials based on mushroom mycelium – Polina Prikhodko,
• Nutrient media for cultivation of animal cell cultures – Maslova Tatiana
• Characterization of methods for the production of interferons – Babintseva Daria,
• Technologies for microbial synthesis of macrolide antibiotics – Natalia Matyash.
