On April 19, 2024, within the framework of the XXX International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Students “TOPICAL ISSUES OF CREATION OF NEW MEDICINAL PRODUCTS”, scientific discussions were held to promote academic integrity among students of the study programs “Biotechnology” and “Industrial Biotechnology”. Olha KALIUZHNAYA, Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology, spoke about the legal framework for academic integrity, global standards of ethical principles in the educational and scientific environment, illustrative cases and facts of academic fraud, and the most common tools for combating and preventing plagiarism. The students were introduced to the events held by the National University of Pharmacy to promote academic integrity, including the competition “Academic Integrity – the Key to the Quality of Education and Science”. During the discussion, the participants also exchanged views on academic responsibility for detecting cases of academic dishonesty.
