On April 25, 2025, the Department of Biotechnology held a section meeting of the XXXI International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Students “CURRENT ISSUES OF CREATING NEW MEDICINES”, organized by the NUPh.
The meeting presented reports dedicated to modern achievements and innovations in the field of biotechnology. The event was attended by 15 speakers – higher education students who presented the results of their research in various areas of biotechnology. Among the topics of the reports were: genetic engineering, biotechnology of medicines, cell engineering, eco-biotechnology and new approaches to the creation of biomaterials.
The conference became an excellent platform for exchanging ideas, discussing current problems in the industry and establishing scientific contacts. The participants’ speeches were accompanied by lively discussions and aroused great interest among the audience.
All participants received certificates, and the best speakers received diplomas: 1st place – Maslova Tetyana (“Inactivation of Bacillus subtilis spores in human breast milk using high pressure”, scientific supervisor – Professor KHOKHLENKOVA Natalia), 2nd place – Hora Oleksandra (“Emicizumab – an innovative drug for the treatment of hemophilia”, scientific supervisor – Associate Professor KALYUZHNAYA Olga) and Panenko Michelle (“Use of monoclonal antibodies to stimulate the regeneration of dental tissues: molecular mechanisms and clinical prospects”, scientific supervisor – Associate Professor KALYUZHNAYA Olga), 3rd place – Dvinskikh Anna (“Biology, ecology and application in modern society of fungi of the genus Mucor”, scientific supervisor – Associate Professor DVINSKIKH Natalia), Olkhovska Kateryna (“MicroRNA: modern opportunities for medicine and agriculture”, scientific supervisor – Professor FILIPTSOVA Olga) and Khupenia Kristyna (“Analysis of the production of GLP-1 agonist drugs”, scientific supervisor Head – Associate Professor KALYUZHNAYA Olga).
