Зіміна Ольга Василівна

Zimina Olga graduated in 2006, works as a lecturer in pharmacology and medical and pharmaceutical commodity science at Kherson Basic Medical College.
After graduating from medical school in 1995, she worked at a herbal medicine center and then at drug store №6.
From the pharmacy, she entered the NUPh to study Biotechnology, a newly opened specialty that attracted her with its broad prospects. The student years flew by quickly, interestingly and cheerfully. It was the group in which Olga studied that initiated the Biotechnologist’s Day, which has been celebrated at her university since 2002.
Full-time study provides great opportunities not only to obtain a specialty, but also to get involved in science. The university’s student scientific society is always open to everyone. The monographic work on the cultivation of fibroblast cells for the treatment of burns was highly appreciated by the scientific community. And the tasks on mathematical modeling of hydrodynamic processes developed by Olga were included in the methodological developments of the Department of Processes and Apparatus of Chemical Technology.
The professors of the Department of Biotechnology, Strelntkov L.S. and Strelets O.P., taught her to think big, to apply engineering logic not only to overcome the problems of production bottlenecks, but even to solve everyday issues. Engineering thinking helps Olha in her teaching activities even now.
And Olga tries to transfer the atmosphere of lectures and practices of associate professors of the PAHT department Shapovalov O.V. and Kutova O.V. to her classes. Discipline and humor seem to be completely incompatible things, but their successful combination arouses students’ interest in the subject and helps them cope with difficult topics. This is confirmed by the fact that even students with a low level of knowledge do not remain indifferent to pharmacology, and some even dedicate poems to this discipline.
After graduation, Olha worked for some time in production and in a pharmacy. And in January 2011, she made the final decision to tie her fate to teaching.
