PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology NUPh.

In 1995, graduated with honors from the Ukrainian Academy of Pharmacy (now NUPh) and received a diploma in pharmacy. In 1995, she entered postgraduate studies on the job. In 2007, she graduated with a degree in Quality, Standardization and Certification and received a Master’s degree in Quality Management. In 2020, she graduated with a degree in Education and Pedagogy and received a professional qualification as a teacher of universities and higher education institutions. In 2023, she graduated from the State Biotechnology University, where she studied in the specialty “162 Biotechnology and Bioengineering” and received a master’s degree in biotechnology.

From August 1995 to September 1996, worked as a pharmacist at Magik LLC. Since 1996 and till now she has been working at the National University of Pharmacy: Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Department of Pharmacy Drug Technology (1996-2000); Assistant (2000); Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacy Drug Technology (2002); Associate Professor of the Department of Drug Technology (since 2004); Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology (since 2019). At the department, he acts as the head of the department.

In September 1999, under the supervision of Doctor of Pharmacy, Professor O.I. Tikhonov, she defended her PhD thesis on “Development of technology and study of suppositories with phenolic hydrophobic propolis preparation”. She is a co-author of the medicinal product “Suppositories-Propolis”, which has been introduced into industrial production.

Yuliya Volodymirivna lectures, conducts practical, laboratory and seminar classes for higher education students majoring in “162 Biotechnology and Bioengineering” and “226 Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy” on the educational components “Objects of Biotechnology”, “Fundamentals of Research in Biotechnology”, “Organization of Scientific Research and Intellectual Property”, “Industrial Biotechnology”, “Pharmaceutical Biotechnology”, etc. He is a co-author of the textbook “Biopharmacy” (2003, 2010), about 40 textbooks and methodological recommendations. Participates in the creation of work programs for educational components taught at the department, new lectures, in the creation of examination tickets, tickets for controlling content modules, etc.

Co-author of 1 patent, 3 newsletters, more than 70 scientific papers (abstracts and articles), and has 4 copyright certificates. He is the supervisor of bachelor’s and master’s theses of higher education students.

Y.M. Azarenko is a member of the European Federation of Biotechnology and the S.V. Vinogradsky Society of Microbiologists of Ukraine.

For 3 years (2008-2010) she was an examiner of the professional certification commission for admission to study in the specialties of the direction “Pharmacy” with a reduced period of training; participated in the development of the Regulations on the internship of foreigners and stateless persons at the departments of the NUPh.
